About Chelsea Collins
I am a multi-faceted and multi-medium artist currently based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
Being a long-time creator, the arts have always been a major part of my life and I have dabbled in many different mediums including drawing, bookbinding, photography, and jewelry making. I am mostly self-taught, aside from attending high school elective art classes, and a black and white 35mm photography class while in college.
Professionally, I teach after-school art classes through a non-profit organization called Build a Better Hood, and I work to imbue the children I teach with a taste of just how important creating can be to a happy life. Apart from this, I also am the owner of my own creative business, entitled Epoxsea Artistry, through which I sell my work.
For me, art is a therapeutic and meditative practice. I love the feeling of freedom while creating. I hope to inspire others and evoke new thoughts, feelings, and ideas within those who view my work. Through teaching art, I have been able to directly share my creative thoughts and ideas, as well as learn from the children I teach, which has added so much to my own work and just to my life in general.
If you would like to see some of my creative processes you can find me on instagram: instagram.com/epoxseaartistry I've got some cool videos that show my creative works in action. In my second year I have shown my work in 8 different art shows around the DFW Metroplex including ArtsGoggle 2018 and ArtsGoggle 2019. Also, the educational non-profit that I work to support can be found online at buildabetterhood.org
